Sandwiches and Stories
“How did the 1960s change our sense of ourselves
and what might be possible in our lives?”
Calling all aging hippies, squares, groovy people, and others who grew up during the 1960s. This month's Sandwiches and Stories topic is what we think now—half a century later—about having been children of the 1960s.
If you would like to share about this topic, please email Rainey Millman in advance at
lbmillman1@gmail.com.
We hope you will bring your bag lunch, and a chair, to Historic Northampton (46 Bridge St.) for Sandwiches and Stories on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 12:30–1:30 pm. Masks are appreciated, but not required.
You don’t have to share a story to participate. Feel free simply to listen and join the conversation if you wish. A moderated discussion will follow each story, allowing the entire group to ask questions and make comments. We’ll start with brief comments on last month’s topic, “What makes you particularly sad or glad about living in Northampton?”
In the event of questionable weather, we will make a decision no later than noon on Monday, Sept. 26, about whether to meet in person or on Zoom. If on Zoom, we will send a Zoom link via email, update the
NN calendar, and update our outgoing message at 413-341-0160 with how to call in to the event.
We welcome all who are interested. Please spread the word.
