We will meet in the parking area at Stanley Park, the entrance to which is across the street from the Westfield State College Woodward Center, 577 Western Avenue, Westfield, MA. Having entered the park on the parking area road, you will find the group gathering place at the end of the road, on your left, across from the Frank Stanley Beveridge Wildlife Sanctuary.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS: You can use 577 Western Avenue, Westfield, MA as the destination if you are using a GPS system. This is the address for the Westfield State College Woodward Center, which is across the street from the main entrance to Stanley Park. Having entered the park on the parking area road, you will find the group gathering place at the end of the road, on your left, across from the Frank Stanley Beveridge Wildlife Sanctuary.

There is also a park map and a link for directions at:

www.stanleypark.org/park-maps

DESCRIPTION OF WALK: Each person walks at her/his own pace and walks only as far as they wish. There is no obligation to complete the walk or walk a certain distance.

We will be walking on both paved and unpaved surfaces, for a total of approximately 3 miles. Further distances are possible for those who wish. Our route will be generally flat, with a few slight dips and rises that can be easily avoided. If we have had rain during the weekend there may be some muddy patches. Sturdy shoes/boots are therefore recommended, as well as hiking poles if you use them, water, and a snack. There are restrooms throughout the park, one close to where we will be starting our hike. Although leashed dogs are allowed in the park, we do not allow them on our Northampton Neighbor walks.

Click on the link below for more i
